Fabrice Bellard and charlie Gordon (co- creator) released the public release of QuickJS under the MIT license and a “small but complete JavaScript Engine” which comes with support for the latest ES2019 language specifications.

This is the First project which offers ES2019 specifications. This brings almost all the modules and requirements which makes the Engine complete. This currently does not support realms or trail calls. This engine is formed by only a few C files. There are no external dependency available! Still you can compile javascript source to executables. The command line interpreter offers contextual colorisation and completion implemented in javaScript. The engine uses reference counting with cycle removal to automatically free- up objects. The engine reduces memory usage and ensures deterministic behaviour of JavaScript.
