As we all know google is know for its constantly testing new features in all of their apps. Lets talk about its messaging app, Just a few weeks ago we found Google testing message remainders and verified business features in Android Messages. Now, Google is testing some Instagram styles features in it!

Thanks to xda and XDA Recognized Developer Quinny899, We get to view some Android messages Effects. There are FIVE Camera effects they were able to test in Android Messages: plane, balloons, fireworks, confetti, and an angle. The feature is present in the camera viewfinder, so when you go to send a picture you can choose the effects tab. This is only sending pictures you take in the messaging app itself and not from your default camera app. These will send with MMS, SMS or RCS depending on what your device support.

Google is trying to position Android messages to be more of an iMessage competitor. These New features may attract more users to Android messages, which is critical in getting that ubiquitous iMessage-like experience.
